Project Overview:
Sydney Water required a contractor to design and construct a replacement sludge thickener at the Nepean Dam Water Treatment Plant. Clearpro’s scope was to design a treatment plant capable of flow rates up to 60 l/s with a high level of automation. Our custom-built system is capable of remotely recording all aspects of the job including inlet and outlet water quality, flow rates, power supply metrics, and a remotely operated camera system. Automated valving on the sludge outlets, screen filter and inlet pressure valve assist Clearpro staff to control the system with only limited intervention required by the Sydney Water plant team. Once treated, the backwash water is returned to Nepean Dam, with sludge directed to the onsite drying beds.
