Location: Ripley Valley, QLD
Client: SEE Civil
Duration: September 2024 – Current
Project Overview:
Providence Estate is a residential development that is aimed to provide approximately 50,000 dwellings to house 120,000 people within the fast growing Ripley Valley. This multi-stage project entails complex earthworks along with critical material movement. As a result, Cleapro was engaged in order to undertake stormwater management by controlling both high volume of rainfall runoff and the impedance of groundwater within low lying work areas.
Dewatering methodologies involving multiple wellpoint systems and a series of deep sumps spanning 500 metres across site. This dewatering strategy allowed for both SEE Civil and piplaying contractors to proceed with ease and make rapid progression.
Raw water quality was found to be both acidic with high levels of suspended solids and a substantial clay content, however with the utilisation of high calibre water treatment equipment including an LB15 water treatment plant and settlement tanks, Clearpro was able to consistently achieve compliant discharge water quality targets.
