Location: Redland Bay, QLD
Client: Hall Contracting
Duration: January 2024 – October 2024
Project Overview:
The newly constructed wastewater treatment plant in Southern redland bay entails a primary advanced membrane bioreactor for the treatment of recycled water with a secondary natural filtration stage involving a 9.8ha mangrove forest and saltmarsh habitat. In order to construct the mangrove and saltmarsh wetland Clearpro was engaged by Hall Contracting for the purpose of stormwater management and enhanced sediment basin treatment. Clearpro utilised two automated chemical dosing systems powered from a Solar Skid and a 4” skid pump to significantly improve the water quality contained in 8 sediment basins (approx 20ML) within the proposed wetland area. Simultaneously, during periods of high rainfall Clearpro was able to treat large volumes of major storm runoff. This treatment method allowed for the ability to then discharge large volumes of water offsite thus providing effective establishment of the mangrove wetland and ecological habitat.
