Location: Deception Bay, QLD
Client: BMD Constructions
Duration: November 2020 – March 2023
Project Overview:
The Deception Bay Road Interchange Upgrade project is being delivered as part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program to improve safety, ease congestion and cater for future traffic growth.
Construction started in November 2020 on the $163 million project located on the Bruce Highway at Burpengary, 35km north of Brisbane with completion expected in 2023.
Key project features include the construction of two new parallel bridges over the Bruce Highway, upgrading two signalised intersections on Deception Bay Road, increasing the length and capacity of existing entry and exit ramps, and providing active transport facilities for people walking and riding.
Clearpro played an important role in accomplishing this work by managing ground water levels during the ground drilling process to build the structural bridge foundations.
Through the water treatment process, we successfully faced the sudden PH variations caused by the low pH level in the soil and the high PH level caused by the high alkalinity in the concrete pouring process combined with the high volume of pumped water.
Once again, Clearpro’s system proved its capacity and efficiency in water treatment, providing good quality discharged water and meeting the criteria required by the client and providing necessary care for the downstream environment.
